Partner Dr. Ouriel Brings Clinical Innovation Expertise to Investment Team

Foundation Medical Partners, a national healthcare venture
capital investment firm, today announced that Ken Ouriel, MD has joined the team
as Clinical Partner. Dr. Ouriel joins Foundation's healthcare investment team to
assess and manage investments in the medical device, predictive medicine, and
biopharmaceutical markets.
Dr. Ouriel is an internationally recognized surgeon and
clinical innovator. He is currently the Chairman of the Division of Surgery at
Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Ouriel has a long tenure of collaboration with innovative
medical technology companies. He is internationally recognized in the field of
vascular surgery and has served in leadership positions in many national
professional organizations. He has led the way in pioneering several major
advances in vascular surgery in his role as principal investigator in several
large-scale multicenter clinical trials. He is the inventor of numerous patents
for medical devices and is the author or co-author of over 250 articles
published in leading medical journals.
